Do You Remember That One Day in Summertime?

Do you remember that one day in summertime,

When up the trees, we would climb.

We were young and we were free

And I believed that nothing could get to me.

Laughing, Listening, Loving and Lying,

Smiling, Singing, Swearing, and Sighing,

Do you remember that one week in summertime,

Running through the rainy days and sunshine.

Yet when that summertime ended,

And the cold breezes of autumn descended,

You flew away to a warmer land,

And broke away, letting go of my hand.

Do you remember that one month in summertime,

That short time that when everything had been divine.

Now I sit alone, awaiting a season that will never return,

Those beautiful years of summertime, I will forever mourn
